Each roll on a typical subwoofer spider has a uniform height but because the center area is subject to increased stress when for example, a subwoofer’s excursion is especially large – this area can become stretched out, leading to breakage in the spider and limiting higher power handling. However, Kenwood’s new spider roll gradually becomes higher towards the center, enabling this area to withstand more stress with less stretching. The design goal was to gradually transfer up-down movement outward to reduce stretching in the center area. As the spider’s outward portion has more surface area to better dissipate stress from the center, this helps to reduce mechanical damage during increased excursion and enables the subwoofer to withstand more power.

replaced a older kicker comp 12 with this kenwood 12 & what a difference,

way more bass than was expecting for the low price, using a jl-500/1v2

amp to push this one 12″ way more bass than i needed, going to stick with

one 12″ no need for 2 12″

I got 2 12″ in an enclosed box in the trunk of my civic, these bad boys set alarms off as i drive by parked cars. Definitely worth the price. Bass is clean, recommend getting a capacitor though or a higher voltage battery.

this subwoofer is amazing.. for a while i thought my old subs were really nice.. i got these, looking for something a little bigger, louder, possibly better.. the differance was amazing.

I just hooked up one of these in my cavalier with a 1000 watt amp. I have it at half power and half volume and i cannot see out of my rearview mirror. Good deal =)

Have had the Kenwood KFC-W3011′s for around two months. They have been perfect. They were used as replacement subwoofer’s for some twenty year old Cerwin Vega’s. The CV mid-range and tweeters were fine, placed the Kenwood’s in and they have been great.
