Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 1d 12 subwoofer with dual 4 ohm voice coils

An aluminum woofer cone is used, mounted to a precision die-cast aluminum basket using a high roll butyl surround. The basket is vented to provide additional cooling of the motor structure. Maximized for performance in small sealed, vented, and bandpass enclosures.Kappa Perfect truly bridges the gap between subwoofers intended for SPL and those intended for sound quality. If you’re looking for a subwoofer that sounds great and hits hard, look no further. A huge flared, polished and vented polepiece is used to provide optimum cooling of the voice coil and minimize turbulence.
5 Stars Amazing
The sound quality of these subs is phenomenal. You can feel them throughout the car. They are the top on the market. 5 stars without a doubt.
5 Stars WOW!!!
I just bought 2 of these subs and hooked them up yesterday. They are not broke in yet, but they already pound incredibly hard with unbelievable sound quality. I only have my amp 1/4th of the way up, with the bass boost off, and the subs and bass set at 0 on the cd player, and with the volume at 25 out of 40, it shakes my entire car, so just imagine what it will sound like after they get broke in and i turn the amp up. These are a definite must if you are looking for that perfect mix of sound quality and SPL. When I get them broke in, i will update this review and let you know what I think.
5 Stars Best bang for the $
After looking at all the reviews, and at 2-for-one (with free shipping), I picked up a couple of these. I tested them ported and sealed. When ported, you can use these as a hair dryer. They push a lot of air! They also go deep. I like the smaller size of the sealed box (one square foot inside) and I’ve got the power to drive them – so sealed it is. They have the ability to damage things in the room above them. So far – a vanity mirror and a remote control. These work very well in a house or a car! They require more power than many speakers I’ve tested with the same rating. They don’t fib much on these. One of these is as good as an rsw10 home subwoofer. I got one and sent it back. Rip-off for over $400. These will make you feel your $ was well spent. I was leery of the 11mm xmax (excursion), but they pound great!
1 Star Should have been 12.1 not 12.1D
Search as for a single voice coil. Came up as 121 not 12.1d
Extremely disappointed when I received the wrong / product

Infinity Reference 1210a 854W x 1 mono subwoofer amplifier

The high-frequency Class D switching power supply used in the Reference 1210a is more efficient than traditional class A/B supply’s and draws less current from your vehicle’s charging system. The Reference 1210a features a 12dB per octave electronic crossover, allowing you to optimize bass performance based on enclosure type and subwoofer selection.Full-range preamp outputs facilitate use of multiple amplifiers without the need for noisy and expensive adapters or signal splitters. Dynamic Bass Optimization (DBO) provides variable filtering with adjustable “Q” below 100Hz, far beyond conventional “Bass Q” circuits, by allowing the low-frequency output to be optimized for specific subwoofer applications. Frequencies below an enclosure’s tuning frequency can be attenuated, preventing damage to the subwoofer and allowing the amplifier’s power to be better utilized.
Infinity Reference 1250w 12 Inch Subwoofer Silver Black

polypropylene woofer cone with large-roll rubber surround
innovative basket design minimizes depth
progressive spider design for excellent cone control

5 Stars Hellacious Subs!!!!
I have four of these in my home theater system plus an older BIC America V1210R subwoofer. So that’s a total of five 12″ home theather subs and they do pound! I’ve placed each Infinity 1250w sub in a 2 cubic ft enclosure and added a Dayton SA240 amp on each enclosure. The enclosures were braced on the inside and stuffed with polyfill. Needless to say I’m very pleased with my budget home theater subs.
5 Stars Wow! What a sub!
I like low bass. Like 40hz and below, low. Up until now the only subs I have found to excel in extremely low bass are the JL Audio line. They have a low Fs(Resonant Frequency). In other words the lower the Fs the better the sub handles the lower end of the scale. Most average subs drop off at around 30-35hz which is decent, but compared to the JL’s with a Fs of 20-25hz, theres a world of difference. Now moving right along to the Infinity. I have been using a 12w6v1(Older style) for over a year now, driven by a Fosgate Power 350 in a 3ohm load and have been relatively happy. The low end was wonderful and it sounded damn good. However after a years worth of abuse the surround developed a crack and started seperating from the cone, which i duct taped. This lasted another couple months, but I got tired of the sound, so it was time to replace it.
I had a gift card for a local retailer and after looking at thele-small specs on their website, I went and bought the 1252w(Same sub but with 2ohm coils). The first thing i noticed was the basket was huge and it wouldn’t fit in my box right. I had to ream the hole out a little bigger, but once in and sealed up, holy anus….This thing POUNDS and hits low notes like nobodys business. I’m not so sure Infinity’s Kappa series could do much better than this Reference series. The bass is clean and it hits just as low as the JL and is somewhat more musical. Seriously. I am highly impressed and am sure I will be moreso after the sealant dries and the sub breaks in. I have about 15 years of audio experience and a very discerning ear for audio imperfections and can whole heartedly recommend this sub!
